03 The continuous record

Eleven years, one building, one file

Most New York City children are handed off twice before high school. A child enrolled here at age three can be taught, watched and known by the same staff, in the same building on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, until the summer before ninth grade. The city records that span as a single string of grade codes.

Grades, as filed PK, 0K, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, SE

Read out: Pre-K, Kindergarten, grades one through eight, and special education services — the exact grade string on the school’s New York City Public Schools profile.

04 Daily observation

The day, as it is recorded

A record is only useful if it says plainly what is known and what is not. These are the times New York City publishes for this building. Where the record is out of date, this page says so instead of guessing.

Meal service times as published on the school’s New York City Public Schools profile, read 1 September 2026.
EntryRecorded
Breakfast time 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
Lunch time 10:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Cost of meals Breakfast, lunch and after school meal service is free for all NYC public school students.
Building occupancy Shares building with other schools — M046 and M846 are both recorded at 2987 Frederick Douglass Boulevard.
Arrival and dismissal Not recorded here. Please call the main office on 212 - 360 - 1519 for this year’s bell times.

Why the bell times are missing

The bell schedule published on the school’s current site is a file dated 2023–24, and the class schedules file is dated 2024–25. Arrival and dismissal times move from year to year, so republishing a three-year-old dismissal time would send families to the wrong door at the wrong hour.

Until the school supplies the current schedule, this page records the gap rather than filling it.
